Hallmaker AS has handed over an attractive new Ford dealership building to Selmer Eiendom AS, which is rented by an associated company, RøhneSelmer AS.
Located at Strømsveien 181 (Alnabru) in Oslo, Norway, the building has a total surface/floor area of approximately 3150 m2. The building is Norway’s largest Ford dealership, and includes offices, car showroom space and a car maintenance shop.
Featuring a width of 31m and length of 80m, the structure provides a spacious ground floor surface area of 2480 m2 and 1st floor surface area of 670 m2. A 670 m2 perforated roof system has been fitted between the ground and first floor to help support sound absorption between the busy showroom and servicing area and the offices above.
The building also includes 200sq m of technical rooms on the structure’s roof.
The main building cladding sandwich panels include a rockwool core of 240 mm and 0.17 U-value to keep staff and customers comfortable year-round. The dealership also features a total of 350 m2 of windows and glass cladding to allow for a bright interior.
Five doors measuring 4m (W) x 4.5m (H) were supplied with large glass surface areas to facilitate natural lighting. The main entrance is comprised of automatic doors with a glass surface of 2m (W) x 2.4m (H).
The ground floor is used for the car showroom car sales area, maintenance/service, three offices, a conference room and restroom facilities. The first floor features eight offices, a canteen and kitchen, three conference rooms, changing rooms and restroom facilities. A tiled staircase and mechanical lifting platform provides access to the first floor. The second floor (roof) includes technical rooms.
Construction of this impressive project was completed in approximately 11 months.
